Cassandra AML

AML/CTF software for Australian BAS agents

Keep routine BAS and bookkeeping work separate from any captured entity, transaction or client-money service, with a BAS-agent-specific scope, CDD and evidence workflow.

Five situations, in plain words

Illustrations of questions bas agents meet. Not customers, and not a decision for your file.

  1. Lodging a BAS on its own is usually not covered. Keep that decision with the job.

  2. Bookkeeping that only records the client's own books is usually not covered.

  3. Receiving the client's money into your account can change the answer. Check it.

  4. Forming a company while you do the books is a separate service. Scope it on its own.

  5. A client who asks you to hold sale money is not a routine BAS job.

Questions bas agents ask

Are all bas agents regulated by AUSTRAC?

No. It depends on whether the business provides a designated service with the required Australian link, not on the professional title. Assess each service and take advice where the boundary is uncertain.

What should bas agents keep for an AML/CTF review?

The scope decision, customer and beneficial-owner evidence, the risk assessment, screening and escalation decisions, approvals, reporting records, training and the current AML/CTF program.

Does Cassandra AML replace legal advice?

No. It organises compliance work and evidence. It does not give legal advice, guarantee compliance or imply AUSTRAC endorsement.
